An elegant and simple game of martial tactics
Just like the box says. It is very nicely made, the "board" is made of the same material as the beermats in the pubs, rolled up nicely. The figures are plastic but very nicely detailed. The cards are not completely standard in size, but it was easy for me to get sleeves for them.
The gameplay is awesome. You can explain the rules to anyone (regardless of their experience in boardgames) in less then 5 minutes, and setting up the game is less than half minute, Despite this, the gameplay can get really deep and strategic - although still a quick game, with an average of 10 mins per game. It is a little bit similar to Duke. Since in every game 5 cards are chosen randomly from the 16 cards, every game has its own flavour. In one game every card could only attack diagonally, and the game resembled a bit of checkers. In another game most of the cards attacked straight forward, but many of them also diagonally, and it encouraged a very defensive strategy from both players... So it has great replay value as well.
I'd recommend it. :)
