Classic Comedy
This 1987 British cult comedy film was written and directed by Bruce Robinson and is based on his life in London in the late 1960's.
The story is about two unemployed actors, Withnail and a charactor who is never named, who live in a squalid flat in Camden Town in 1969 while spending most their money on drugs and alcohol. Needing a holiday, they obtain the key to a country cottage in the Lake District belonging to Withnail's uncle and drive up there there in an old Jag. The holiday cottage was not what they expected.
The film rightly deserves its cult status.
