Sony Handycam DCR-TRV18E DV Tape Camcorder
This is a good robust digital camcorder that can be hand-held or used on a tripod. The camcorder has a 10x zoom lens and 120x digital zoom. It is a two-in-one. It records moving film on DV Tape or still photographs on a standard memory stick. The built-in microphone has 16-bit or a 12-bit channel for voice-over. The shoe fitting will take a lighting unit or an external microphone. The re-chargeable battery gives good camera running time. There are a number of built in socket fittings including an A/V socket for re-playing a DV Tape through a Television. The direct view eyepiece has a soft shield for clear viewing in daylight. The LCD screen gives a clear picture for composition. The fader gives a film editing function while filming.
This is a good robust camcorder with more than the usual number of extra features. I think that this is an excellent home-use camcorder that will perform almost as well as a much more expensive professional model.
