How Did I Not Know About Brian Bilston?
If I didn't adore Richard Osman for any other reason (which I do), he will forever be in my heart for introducing me, via his tweets, to Brian Bilston.
Three of the sweetest things that light our days are laughter, play with language, and kindness to others. If you enjoy chortling like a drain, are staggered by brilliant wordsmithery, and have a compassionate heart, this is a book for you.
However, be warned: if you are a fan of Jeremy Clarkson or Piers Morgan, or if you enjoy The Daily Mail, steer well away. (And, while you're at it, have a general re-think about what it is to be a happy, gentle human being.)

Ideal Aid to a Lovely Hobby
1 of 1 found this helpful Having started to rescue a new garden, all our planting is dedicated to wildlife - especially bees. This guide is ideal for taking out and identifying the different bees, which is (oddly!) an incredibly satisfying and pleasurable thing to do. The guide is clear, comprehensive and obviously produced by people with trustworthy knowledge of our indigenous bees. It is small and light, so easy to take out, and it's laminated, so it doesn't get dirty. We are going to have hours of fun listing all our different bees - something we couldn't have done carting a book around.

Healthy Plants
Soon after planting these mallows, it was clear that they are vigorous plants. They've grown a couple of inches in a week - strong stems, good foliage. These plants are happy, healthy specimens and I've no doubt they're going to make a lovely display.
