Very suitable, to the point.
1 of 1 found this helpful I recall the TV series when Harry Dodson had the country spell-bound with his reminiscences and demonstrations of his day as a head gardener. The book is a well-written story, easy to read and full of fascinating facts, many of which I had forgotten. The documentary was compulsive viewing, and the book follows that in being compulsive reading. Some delightful sketches and photographs help make it even more enjoyable. It makes you wonder how these head gardeners managed to produce such a variety of crops, almost all year round.
