Excellent, one of the few films I shall watch more than once. Great value.
This appears to be a loose remake of an earlier town tamer film with Anthony Quinn as the deputy. However this is a much superior film, concentrating on the characters more than the violence, although when the violence came, it should satisfy those who like the bloodshed. The acting was excellent and the main protagonists perfect for their roles. The only flaw I could see was that Vigo Mortensen continued a relationship with Renee Zellweger after finding out that she was apparently prepared to drop her knickers for any man when the fancy took her.

Hypnotic.
Having seen Apocalypto twice, I decided to buy the DVD so I could watch it at my leisure. It is an absolutely fantastic production. A glimpse into the past and mysterious Mayan culture. The sets and scenery are all superb, and the acting is so full of realism that you feel that you are there watching it all actually happen. In short. this is a masterpiece, and one of the few DVDs that I shall watch again and again. Full credit to Mel Gibson. He deserves every plaudit he gets. For the price paid, this must rate as the top bargain of the decade.

All round enjoyable excellence. Superb value for money. Don`t miss it.
I challenge anyone with even a slightly irreverent sense of humour to watch this film with a straight face. For me it was continuous laughter from start to finish, and I ended up with sore ribs from laughing so much. The cast was superb, as was the casting. These stars were born to play these parts. Made today, it would still be hailed as a masterpiece. This is a gem not to be missed, and no lover of comedy should be without it. The ending was quite hilarious, and totally unexpected. All in all, a fantastic film, with a fantastic cast and a fantastic script.
