Natural Wool/Jute Fibre Underlay
When choosing which underlay, there was basically: a) rubber, b) mixture of fibre/old carpets, or c) Recycled Wool+Jute fibre. The first two options suggested toxic gassing off, which is not something we want to breath into our bodies while it all runs out of the material. The better option was the more natural Wool/Jute Fibre.
The Wool/Jute Fibre matting did have some horrible smell about it, which I guess was in the cleaning chemicals used and something to bind it together. So, it was the best of what was available. However, the smell seems to have cleared 3-4days after it was laid, with windows open (its best to do this in summer when windows can stay open most of the day).
Fixing it was easy-peasy: cuts okay with a stanley or scissors. Felt-tip pen marks it nicely before the cutting. Underneath the carpet it feels okay, too.

Battery clicked in like the old one
The 6-Cell Battery for my Dell Vostro 1700, clicked in like the old one, no issues at all and it seems like good quality too.

It fitted into the key without any issue. Buttons worked well with the new battery. thanks
