The Cat Who Came To Breakfast
This is a wonderful book. I have read the entire series once and am on my second time reading them. You will fall in love with Quill, the journalist, and his two Simease cats. The books are easy reading and very "addictive". You will laugh at their antics, and feel every emotion they experience as they get involved in mysteries in Moose County. You will meet lively characters, and enjoy the "slow pace" of living in this community. This series is excellent reading for many age groups. I highly recommend them!

    The Cat Who Wasn't There
This is a terrific book, where journalist Jim Qwilleran joins a group from Pickax on a tour to Scotland. It has a lot of detail about scenery and places in Scotland, as well as a murder mystery among their small group. Although the cats were left at home, Koko knows the exact moment when the "murder" is committed! There are several suspects, but the ending reveals a surprise suspect that you may not have considered. I love to read this author's books because I love cats. The two cats in this series, Koko and Yum Yum are very special and you can feel the love that Qwill has for them, and they in return for him.

The Cat Who Brought Down The House
This is another great book by Lilian Jackson Braun. While journalist, Jim Qwilleran works to solve the latest mystery in Pickax, 400 miles north of everywhere, he looks to his Simease cat, Koko for his help in uncovering clues. Koko and Yum Yum are very important family members to Quill. In this story, the locals plan a fund raiser "Kit Kat Revue" to raise money for the animal shelter and placement of the kittens in a loving home. During the parade of cats, Koko, who had failed to eat his meals with a light sedative in it, jumped off the stage, into the audience, thus bringing down the house! He could only be retrieved when Quill yelled out the word "Treat"! This is book 25th book in this series.
