Not what I was expecting
This back plate will fit the Drummond/Myford M lathe which is great for the owners of these vintage lathes. However, the picture of this back plate is very misleading. This picture shows a well designed backplate with a good finish and a generous radius between the flange and the threaded boss to minimise stress raisers at the junction. The unit received looks just like the RDG version which is generally cheaper and looks it.

Nicely made plug and socket and relatively easy to put together. As it is a plug and socket, question 3 above is not relevant.

Ideal for fishing trip
I bought this for my son. Hewas very impressed with its quality and thermal efficiency. A good and well madee product.
