I can't believe this is Draper, I CALL FAKE and I'm not joking!!
3 of 3 found this helpful Review Summary - I normally buy Draper tools because they are good enough for the DIYer, NOT THIS TOOL, my money would be on FAKE, I'm not joking, I've given it 2 star because, technically, it does flange a pipe, sort-of.
Either I'm stupid (I'm a field service engineer, with tool making qualifications and a couple of years of mechanics under my belt) or these reviews are rubbish,
Firstly, I couldn't get a good flange, best I could get was a 'meh, it'll do I guess' flange, most were 'guess the connectors will fix that' flanges and 2 were '*$!$%£ tool!' flange.
1- The die guide sits in the securing clamp about 2mm leaving very little to control the dies path,
2- The securing clamp and vice don't have sighting lugs or groves so it's impossible to get and keep the vice vertical meaning the flange will bend of centre,
3- The securing clamp again has no way of sighting the two halfs together, so with pressure they will slip, bending the flange off centre,
4- The securing clamps teeth will mark the pipe terribly, fine for brake pipes but not if your planning on having them on show,
5- I STRIPPED THE WING NUTS TREAD BY HAND!!!!!!!, grrrr I must be well hard!
6- Instructions were written by the work experience kid on a Friday afternoon, my mum could write a better how-to guide.
SHAME ON YOU DRAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
