Hard worker, Needs a facelift

I love the power that this laptop harnesses. It flies through all but the most diifucult games and programs, and even for the more intensive games, it still holds it own, even against my higher end desktop. If only the screen had a bit more resolution to accompany the performance backing it, It would be a stellar machine, capable of much beyond what it does do. It states 7.4 pounds of weight, yet my wifes DV7 laptop feels heavier and more bulky. It's sturdy as well. The battery life is a little on the light side, but why would you need it off the cord for anything you want this laptop for? Any other laptop in the shared field has a similar battery life span. I do thoroughly enjoy the lack of bloatware that came with this laptop. I had no trouble removing the few items that it came with, and did not have to root out a lot of crap. I like the simplistic look, but what is up with the design on the lid? I like the lights, and that I can modify their perfomance, but why scream to the world that its a gaming rig? Even Alienware has the lights and a symbol. Feels like they are trying to lure us in like fish with something shiny, with not much underneath. The ability to readily access the hardware by removing 2 under panels was the coup de grace to me. I am so pleased that when I find anything that can best the OEM on this, that I will not have to go diggign around in the laptop to be able to get to it. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this laptop, and can't wait to see what it can do with Windows 7.

I can agree that it is used. What I can’t get behind is not stating that you worked on it, opening the keyboard up, and putting it back together without tightening all the screws. I have had to tighten 4 screws that have either come loose or fallen out on my desk pad after moderate use.

The perfect companion for my dental world...

I bought this speaker to bring since music into the dental office I work at as a dental assistant. I wasn't sure what to expect, and I needed it to accomplish certain things: top priority is to be cleanable, then good sound, then good bluetooth range. I got all of them with this. It fills the room with sound at just the right volume (it can go a lot louder), it has plenty of bluetooth signal so I can hide my phone, and I can clean it with everything else at the end of the day.
