Unearthed Merseybeat (2003) various artists Viper CD
1 of 1 found this helpful Growing up when this music was breaking was a time to live for. Now it is a time to remember and relive through these tracks. These well chosen tracks from Merseyside,s early 60,s beat groups is to be commended. All the tracks are the group,s early studio recordings or in afew cases in a group member,s front room, truly worth a listen. These groups were the inspiration for the be all and end all of Merseybeat the Beatles. Featured on two tracks, the group that led the the Exodus to Hamburg the Star Club, Kingsize Taylor and the Dominoes,(here I,m bias probably the best to emerge from the Pool). Here are early Gerry and the Pacemakers, Merseybeats, Swinging Blue Jeans, plus many others now listed in Merseybeat Folklore. Listen, remember, or hear for the first time the legend of Merseyside, Remo Four, The Dennisons,The Kirkbys, Denny Seyton and the Sabres The Newtowns, The Bo-Weevils, The Eyes, amongst others. Listen and remember or marvel for the first time as these bands give out with Rock and Roll from these heady early times, sounds that laid the foundations for popular rock as we know it today.

I saw Graham Bond Organisation many times through 60s and 70s allover the country.
Reproduction of the live and record tracks is spot on.
As a life long fan I have all his original vynil records.
A must purchase for all fans of this original Blues Scene in GB.
