Good quality build and sound; one major flaw
I purchased this headset for my 88-year-old live-in mother-in-law to allow her to listen to TV more clearly. It was imperative that it be easy to use; the cradle seemed like the best option so she could just hang it up when not in use. All that is great, and the sound quality is fine. The headset base plugs into the headphone jack on the back of the TV, and it's seamless.
The flaw is that when the TV, Netflix for example, stops sending sound to the TV speakers, the headset suddenly emits high volume static. For her it's jarring and even frightening. As a result, she has stopped using it, afraid that it will make that loud sound unexpectedly. It was a good idea, but it doesn't fit our use case.
