A good performing compact that I can and do carry in a jacket pocket
I bought the P7700 primarily because of the 7+ zoom range.
I don't find the menus so easy to navigate - this may become easier with time.
I am very pleased with the Nikon - especially the greater zoom range and the good close up and macro performance.
I have owned 3 Canon compacts(all with articulated screens - in fact I still have A G12 and a G1X)all good cameras but with limited zoom ranges - and in the case of the G1X a poor macro range.
