Great value, versatile paste
I use this paste to make flowers, models that need to set hard and also mix it with fondant 50/50 to make Mexican paste. You can add colour to it but it's better to buy ready coloured paste than add lots of colour for darker shades. In the pictures below I have used it for the white parts of the moped, the deckchair and shells, chip and lumiere; and the flowers. Just remember to give things plenty of time to dry ( a weeks is best for weight-bearing elements). The only downside is it is less reliable in hot humid weather but what paste is?

Great value, quality product
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a nice thickness, takes the colour really well and doesn't dry out and become brittle. It has a pleasant flavour and is easy to cut with pair of scissors. I use edible glue to stick to the cakend and actually only buy the a4 sheets and just cut out cupcake toppers, round toppers etc

Easirr than putting up a real deckchair
I use flower paste to make these. I tend to roll it out to just under 2 mm thick and trim with a scalpel as I feel a slightly thicker icing is stronger. I use the middle sized round extruder to make the bars and some spares and then leave them all to dry for two days. When constructing I pin the side down on some polystyrene with toothpicks on every corner, this helps to line up the second side when you mount it on the bars. I attach the bars with royal icing and allow at least a day to dry. Once dry I add the 'fabric' and use a tiny amount of water to stick the Fabric to itself when I wrap it around the bars.. Edible glue tends to slide apart.
