Plugable USB 2.0 Digital Microscope (2MP, 10x-250x)

Good value

I wanted a microscope that I could use to do surface mount soldering and the advertisement said that this could go from as low as 10 times magnification. When I tried it this did not seem to be the case but I persevered and found that the magnification depended on how close the microscope lens was to the item being looked at. With the lens nearly touching it is more than 200 times and with the lens as far as I could put it above the base plate it was about 60 times, just too strong for me.If I turn the microscope so that it can see the item and sit the microscope on top of a box, the lens distance is greater and the magnification is lower. Sitting on top of a 6 inch box the magnification is about 20 times. I like the depth of field, it is much better than a similar microscope I had.

Good value and does the job

Fits neatly in the hand but the puff is not as vigorous as I expected, maybe the holes are too small but it does the job and I like it.

Poor value and doesn't work

Got the message "Last device attached malfunctioned and is not recognised by Windows", I tried two of them and got the same results. As usual, you get what you pay for and in this case they were very cheap.
