great way to squeeze an extra bit of life out of an old monitor
my graphics card had the standard outputs, two DVI outputs connected to two monitors and one unused DisplayPort. I had an old monitor with only a D-Sub connector sitting there doing nothing. I bought this very low cost adapter, plugged it in, and it worked straight away; no hassle, no installing anything. It just worked. I now have three working monitors
