My latest gadget, the Ovation 1000w Food Processor, bought because it was good value and my current processor was nearing a well-earned retirement.
The Ovation 1000w arrived in very good time, well packed and I was very pleased with my purchase, wanting to try it out immediately. I thought that it was amazing value - a processor with many attachments, a coffee bean/spice grinder and a blender/liquidiser with a large glass goblet - all this for less than £40!
I've wanted a spice grinder for some time, currently using a large pestle and mortar which requires a quantity of elbow grease, so will be putting it through its paces in the near future, but for the time being I was about to make some scones so thought I'd whip them up in the new processer.
The processor jug sat easily on the electronic scales so weighing the ingredients went without a hitch. Then I switched on ....... !!!! The motor was very noisy and powerful, making mincemeat of the sultanas, lol, but the scones were fine despite the appearance that they'd been made with brown flour.
My previous processer had been struggling of late to cope with some ingredients, occasionally even overheating, but I'm sure this won't be happening with the Ovation 1000w.
Winter's looming ever closer so it won't be long before I'm going to be chopping, slicing, blending and liquidising fruit and vegetables into pies, soups and stews so every part of this purchase is going to be earning its keep big time.
So ..... my initial thoughts on this lovely system are almost totally positive and I'd award it 99.98%. If there's a downside I'd deduct .01% for having a noisy motor, though a small price to pay for the power, and .01% for a rather useless, inflexible spatula.

Best scales ever
At last.! Scales that simply weigh you. No waiting for them to settle and eventually give a reading. Having MS, I am unable to stay still long enough for electronic scales to give a reading. For years I've always ended up with an 'error' result. I wish I'd bought these ages ago.
