Middy side strike feeder rod rest
1 of 1 found this helpful Tried and tested, with excellent results !!! Works well against those tiny taps where you need to strike quick, with only 1 side raised you can strike against and away from the pull with nothing hindering your strike. So rather than lifting up and out of the
traditional rod rest, your straight in to a strike. Oposite end of the scale, when hooking into big fish the raised curve is perfect to stop your rod from slipping in. Personally I fish with the quiver tip closer to the water surface, To balance big bites and small. I recently hooked into a 6 pound mirror carp on a 12ft feeder rod
with my drag set too high. The rest held firm and the rod flex gave me ample time to take the rod and adjust the play. I would recommend a rear rest to balance any one fishing for big game. Middy also do a rear butt rest which I have and use in my setup. Plus 1 of the real fantastic features is it is push button angle adjustable 180 degree, lockable postion, so you can just push a button spin your feeder arm and fish in the oposite direction. Very very versatile rest and I would highly recommend this rod rest for any style of fishing. And even better is the price. I personally could not ask for more.
