To Android
Purchased to connect to an Android tablet via a uvc connector. The module comes with a fpv cable ready for the drone developers out there. I am fairly impressed with the module itself and found that limitations are due to the software used on the tablet. Camerafi is terrible, very grainy picture quality with hue white outs. Webeecam isnt much better. Fpviewer and mscopes performed very well. Fpviewer has a slightly better picture quality while the latency on mscopes isnt noticeable at all. I opted for mscopes for my application. I have concentrated the review so far on third party software as to be clear that any disappointment may not be the module itself. Connecting directly to a tv the picture quality is top notch for a cmos built camera. Direct tv connection shows no latency at all with acceptable colours consistent with any home security system. The back of the module gets a little warm and this may be a consideration for placement into a sealed unit. Fortunately for my amphibious air / underwater drone project heat is not an issue.
All in all a good all round cmos camera that performs as expected. 12 volt rated. Personally i would add additional circuit protection for those that know and can. Cheap to buy, easy to fit. I paid a little over £5 at the time and should crash damage occur i certainly won't lose any sleep. Recommended and would buy again

No Protection
2 of 3 found this helpful Got around to using this heat proof mat and very disappointed. I have used this for a small crucible in a zvs induction heater but before reaching temperature of 500'C the wooden board beneath began to burn. At least it was a piece of scrap and not the work surface. I wouldn't trust this as a barrier and its spec is way off.
I've added two pictures with the mat moved to one side so you can see both mat and under burn.

Not quite expected
Expected a colour picture but camera is black and white. The lens is also focusable which would be ok if i were to use for a given distance. in my case from door to end of corridor i have to choose which distance i want clear or blurry. Picture quality is grainy. Shame as the viewing angle is perfect. For the money i didn't think it would be a top end camera but i did hope for better.
