Easy to program. Easier to use.
1 of 1 found this helpful The Marantec garage door opener is by far the quietest garage door that I've ever operated. Whisper quiet. The downside is that my wife and I only had one remote for the system. So I bought a keypad for the garage. Programming this was a breeze. I could literally be in another country and program this keypad. But it is a necessity to have at least one garage door remote in order to program this. Just plug in the jumper wires and follow the easy instructions. Takes about 5 seconds. Didn't have to get up on a ladder to mess with the motor at all.
The keypad is really nice quality as well. The cover slides up out of the way and stays in place with magnets. It feels solid. The button presses are very tactile and it is clear when you press a button, unlike cheaper keypads. Pressing 'Enter' without typing in the code will close the garage door. It is a wonderful device. The buttons are backlit when the cover is up but remain off when the cover is down. This helps extend battery life. The instructions say that the battery will last years before it needs to be replaced. That is very nice.
Overall this was the best accessory that I could purchase for the garage door. I use this more than the standalone remotes since I am always moving my bicycle or motorcycle in and out of the garage. Extremely nice when I want to get into my house but I forgot my keys.

Good Quality Hand Rivet Gun
I used this to install 1/4-20 rivet nuts in 18 gauge rolled steel with 23/64" laser-drilled holes. The action was so smooth and they were incredibly easy to install. Then I got about a dozen finished and it began to bind. I disassembled it a couple of times and realized that it needed to be oiled. So I used a lightweight lubrication oil and started going at it again. It became ultra-smooth after adding the oil. So easy to use and so easy to remove the rivet nuts once they were compressed. I'm glad I bought this and didn't use hex nuts to assemble the sheet metal.

Not necessarily for a snowblower
I must be honest. I don't have a snowblower. I have a Vittorazi Moster 185 cubic centimeter 2-stroke paramotor engine. My factory starter died and after repairing it a couple of times, it soon became irreparable. My friend found a Honda pull starter for his paramotor and I began to search for something with more of a direct fit. Then I found the Tecumseh Snowblower recoil starter. It is identical with one exception: the outer housing is made of a solid piece of metal while the Vittorazi pull starter has been hollowed out to reduce weight. Otherwise, identical. The weight difference doesn't bother me. It probably adds 4 ounces, maybe less.
So far this product has met all of my needs. I think it's cheap and could utilize a better design but that's just it. It's cheap. A lot cheaper than the paramotor starter. This should last me a couple more years at least.
