Great insight in to how businesses really are using big data
I got a bit put off buying the book originally because some people said "it's nothing more than what you can find for free on the internet" - perhaps, but the writer has done all the hard work for you by collecting all the information and presenting it in an easy to read book.
The book clearly lists out major businesses of all descriptions (from Jet Engine Manufacturers to Farmers to retailers of all descriptions), what they were trying to achieve, how they collect use the data, infrastructure they used and their outcomes.
I found it super interesting, and amazed how widespread the applications of big data are.
Definitely recommend reading this!
