A book which will never become boring

Love it! One can find in it all the wonderful pictures one does not have time for during a single visit. The Louvre has some beautiful pictures not only by very famous artists but also by not so well known artists as. One cannot remember these latter pictures after a single visit but can be reminded of them by this wonderful catalogue. I especially like paintings by Carlo Maratta, Giovanni Battista Ruoppolo, Annibale Carracci Domenichino,Fransesco Albani, etc. The French history paintings also seem more skilled than boring to me at this point in history, and I enjoy looking at them. When I return to the Louvre, I will have a new eye for all these paintings because I will be familiar with them. The words of the catalogue are easy to read and the way it interprets the pictures is fun.
