About
I'm a one man band electronics designer in New Zealand. My 'day job' is providing freelance electronics design services, this still generates most of my income. But my greatest interest is in manufacturing good value products.

Does what it says on the tin
Although I haven't yet tested these in long-term operation, it appears to work perfectly with all the modes and options I wanted (such as being able to set the hysteresis), the display behaves as expected and robustness of measurement from the NTC sensor seems good. I saw nothing that caused suspicions of low quality anyway. You could easily pay 50 to 100 times more for a "name brand" industrial version of this temperature controller - this might work just as well, or better.

Very handy and works.
I've had this a year and a half and have found it a very handy device to grab when I need a quick measurement of power bank capacity, USB current etc. There is a lot of information on the tiny LCD (it is an LCD like it says, from memory it has 4 different screens you select with the button). I haven't done a full calibration but it seems believable. The cheaper LED ones are also quite useful but this has a whole extra level of smarts in it, and a couple of spare voltage channels with its ability to measure voltage on USBD+ and USBD-. Build quality is acceptable to me, for the very good price - as an engineer I'd rather it work well, which it does seem to.

Not an ice crusher and shouldn't be sold as one.
Box says "vegetable grater". Low quality with bent cutting tines that jam, and a nut that tightens and gouges the plastic bearing at the other side. Extremely cheap design. But that's ok, it was cheap, and I was able to fix these problems with some bending and gluing, so it would have been functional for its designed use. All the parts fit together well.
But it was almost a complete failure at shredding or crushing ice. The weak build is nowhere capable of even denting solid ice cubes. By crushing them up first I was able to get them to shred a little further, but most bounced out, jammed, or ended up as slush rotating on the blades, with very little falling through to the chamber below.
Calling it an ice crusher might have been a good idea, but it was (at best) a mistake and by design, there is nothing to discuss, so it gets automatic neutral feedback and this review. Sellers shouldn't advertise things in ways which don't work.
