I bought this looking to set my Discovery 3 up to be able to tow, whilst hopefully saving some money by not buying a genuine land rover kit. I paid around £80 for this kit, when it was delivered I found a very professional and quality looking product. I was however disappointed to find the instructions whilst clear and easy to follow only had picture representation... no written instructions, which would have been nice and initially made me slightly dubious. Having said that, when I came to fit it and laid the looms out and removed the covers in the boot etc, it is actually quite self explanatory. I would say I'm a fairly capable home mechanic, but you don't really need to be with this equipment. Don't be put off, it's easier than it looks by just reading the instructions. All that is required is to run the wires to their correct places, secure in place with cable ties and then plug the already attached plugs into the correct plugs in the car. No programming needed, just plug it in and you are ready to go. The only wiring I needed to do was wiring the plug, which is clearly explained in the instructions. Once done, it worked first time. No issues at all. If you are mindful to fit the towing electrics to your Land Rover or Range Rover yourself, and you have a modicum of technicals ability, you won't go far wrong with this kit. And at a very reasonable price too.
