Lots of random issues. For a whole day it continuously disconnected and reconnected all attached screens every minute. And has a non-removable cable
0 of 2 found this helpful When I first got it it had very laggy USB latency. after changing the TB security to no security this was better.
The next issue is the Display configuration. the HDMI video output gets disabled if the USB output is used, while both displayPort ports are not already occupied. So I suggest getting a displayPort to HDMI adaptor.
Lastly, according to users this is caused by cable ware. the displays connected one day would disconnect and reconnect every minute. Thankfully this has stopped now.
But users say it might be from cable ware. and the cable on this is not removable easily. and can't be replaced with a regular thunderbolt cable as it's a proprietary Dell connection internally.
Lastly just the regular Thunderbolt issues. that sometimes when I boot my computer it's simply not detected at all.. and I need to reboot my computer - while my displays and kb/mouse are connected to the dock. so I have to press the reset button.

Works Great, No issues
Technically this doesn't meet USB spec ( USB 3.0 is rated for 3M max ). But it works and I have had no issues with it. Simple things longer than the spec are not guaranteed to work in every scenario

Works great, don't bother pairing by bluetooth
1 of 1 found this helpful The battery it came with was dead, but that's only needed for BT connectivity, which is a bit of a hassle even after replacing the battery. Using it powered off works great, it should work with anything that supports the Microsoft Pen too
