Exactly what it’s supposed to do.
I did some cleaning house and rearranging furniture to make more room in our small apartment, and one of the projects was the audio equipment. After doing quite a bit of research on power strips to go behind the audio rack, I decided on the Power Quest 3. The unit seems well built and good enough. One of the high current sockets isn’t as tight as I would like. The prong seems to work it’s way out a bit. Otherwise I am happy with how it functions. Currently, I have 6 power cords, 2 usb and the coaxial cable plugged into the unit and it’s neat, tidy and out of view behind my shelves. Just what I wanted.
As far as the value of the product, it is expensive for me, but relative to high end conditioners, it’s “reasonable”.
Now for the million dollar question; does it make a difference in the sound quality like so many claim? I don’t think I noticed any change from my Furman Elite 15 DMi to the Power Quest.
I think there is a lot of snake oil out there, which is why I don’t believe ifs worth spending a lot of money on certain products. That being said, if $300 is affordable for a power conditioner, then I would recommend this product.
