Handy little current / voltmeter for hobbyists
This is a great little device ideal for electronics hobbyists and mobile phone repair shops and the like. This will show the voltage of the USB port and the current drawn by the device so great for finding faults with the charger or phone.
I used it with an Arduino to determine how much current the circuit takes which was ideal for determining my project's power requirements.
Voltage and current are shown on two clear LED displays and there are two USB ports (note that only one passes data through, the other supplies voltage only) so one could be used for power faults and the other can be used to program a microcontroller without having to disconnect the device.
Very cheap but worth buying.

Connectors are quality but wire is not. Very thin copper.
The wires on these leads have very little copper in them and ends are just pushed on which leads to large voltage drops especially at currents over 500mA. I tried soldering the wires but this didn't improve much. The connectors are OK but the wires are very poor quality - replace the wires with better quality wire with thicker copper and solder them to the connectors instead and you will have something usable if you want to supply over half an amp to your circuit.
Measure the voltage drop along the wire(s) to see if the wires need to be replaced. Especially if you are wondering why your circuit doesn't work like I did.

Great little display for basic Arduino and Pi projects
These displays are clearly from recycled mobile phones mounted on a new PCB containing the controller chip hence mine was scratched and had corrosion on the silver metal surrounding the screen. It worked OK but soon developed a line through the screen so this may be something worth watching out for.
It uses the i2c interface which makes it easy to connect up to your projects and is great for displaying status messages (I used it in a smart battery charger) and it worked great.
Not a bad little screen if you can live with cosmetic issues such as small scratches.
