Great phone once you've mastered it
6 of 8 found this helpful IMPORTANT: Before reviewing the usual i will tell you the one thing that i wish someone had told me before i started using this phone. Go to 'Settings' on your menu screen, select 'wireless and network', then scroll down and select 'mobile networks', now de-select (untick) 'Use packet data'.
The reason for needing to do this is that even if you have linked this phone to your home wifi or any other there seems to be an over ride that automatically bypasses this and you will be shocked to find that you have spent your entire credit in one day from not a significant amount of useage. I assummed i was using my home internet however i discovered i had used my entire 15 pounds credit in less than 2 days from simply downloading a few apps and checking my mail etc!! The phone comes without a manual and after playing around with the settings and having no success i read through numerous online help and review sites to learn how to disable this feature on my phone. Since then i have had no problems- now im free to enjoy using the phone and its features :)
It is worth pointing out this is my first touch screen android phone and other than the above i have been very happy with it so far- it is for the most part easy to use and after a short time i have discovered it does everything i want and much more. Great alternative to the much more expensive top end phones that i think are over priced particularly on pay as you go! If you are on a budget or new to the smartphone scene i personally think this is a great choice. Now seems to be a good time to buy as prices have dropped somewhat.
