Very heavy duty. Nothing wrong with it but too bulky for most applications on a car (I couldn't actually use it). I would say only suitable for Vans, Motorhomes etc

Poor quality and badly made.
This is a clever design that has been around for a long time. However, this particular item is poor quality and badly made. So that the gate would close securely I had to make a new 'striker plate' from thicker metal. The latch is quite tricky to fit and has to be positioned very accurately. No instructions are provided so I found this out by trial and error. Not providing any fixing screws is a bit cheapskate It's ok and can be made to work but there must be better quality examples about.
