A series worth watching again and again
So I bought this for my daughter thinking it would be a girly show. As it turns out though, it's not just a little girly show, it's actually a very well written series that anyone can enjoy. Not to give too much away, but it's about a boy who is a bit of an outcast (by his own doing) who receives a case one day. Inside of the case is a doll (much like the ball-jointed Volks Dollfies) that has a winding key. He winds the doll up and she (the doll) comes to life. The series follows the two learning to work together with (and sometimes against) other dolls created by Rozen as well as the boy learning to accept things that are unpleasant to him in his life. The overall point is whichever doll defeats the others and receives their Rozen Mysticas can become a perfect girl, but they can only do this with the help of a "Medium" or human companion who they get their power from. Anyway, all in all a VERY good series and my daughter and I are looking forward to the second installment called "Traumend".

A cute and very sappy series
I'll admit, when I was first looking at this series I was a little doubtful about its quality. I found some clips on youtube and decided it might be worth investing in. Now I've seen the series several times and it's become one of my favorites. While it's "supposed" to be a tragedy, the characters find ways to turn things around and by the end you'll find yourself wanting to watch it again and again. Also, it has a very well done mix of popular fairy tales mixed throughout it that kids can relate with and appreciate as well. Great for that anime lover, fairy tale lover, and families alike.

About as strange as they come
OK, I'll admit, I didn't know much about this series when I bought it. I had read some reviews stating that it was good, but I still didn't know much about it. Anyway, ignore the first episode if you can (or rather come back to it later) as it will make pretty much no sense at all at first. Oh, and watch this one with a fairly open mind (not too open-minded thought as I wouldn't want your mind to just fall out). It takes time to make any sense, but once it does you'll appreciate the first few episodes that are slow and confusing (to say the least). Anyway, a pretty good series that is enjoyable with a large bowl of popcorn and maybe a jolt or two.
