Best Smartphone Gimbal To Date
1 of 1 found this helpful I've been using this thing for a few weeks now. It's really good at what it sets out to do, and the price is super affordable.
The battery life is out of this world. I charged it up fully the day I got it and have only had to top it off twice in the two and a half weeks I've had it. This is while using it in a semi moderate fashion for approximately two and a half weeks.
The only gripe I have with it is that the companion app doesn't support all its features on Android. No object tracking, no panoramic mode, no time lapse function. This would have been a deal breaker save for how incredibly cheap this is and how well it works mechanically.
The team that builds the app needs to incorporate full on Android support ASAP. I could see (and sympathize with) certain whole segments of the market passing this up because of the lack of support for Android devices.
Otherwise, this works BEAUTIFULLY and has provided excellent footage.
Recommended with reservations if you're an Android user.

Not a new product
This was CLEARLY not a brand new product as advertised. It came in a non descript box and had all kinds of scratches and scuffs on it.

Good Budget RGB Panel; Terrible Rear Ball Mount And V-mount Plate
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great light for the price. It truly is very bright, even when using the colored lights. I've lit up an entire room with just this one light with no issues. Very good quality LEDs, very versatile. The included barn doors are of decent quality and don't flap around or get loose.
The biggest and most glaring issue with this light is the almost unacceptable low quality of the rear ball mount. It doesn't get tight or sturdy at all. It keeps the panel facing whatever direction you put it in, but literally blowing on the panel moves it. It's not sturdy at all. In fact, I bought two of these, and BOTH of them broke at this mount point. While I can concede that I may have gotten a couple of bad units, the actual ball mount part itself is really terribly designed. It doesn't really allow for a rock solid, secure mounting. The part that connects the light to a c-stand or light stand is good; that is to say that once you attach it to something it'll stay just fine. That part is quite good, actually. It's just the blue mounting part that is attached to the rear of the unit SUCKS.
BAD.
Oh, and the v-mount plate doesn't seem to work too well with my Powerextra battery. The locking mechanism doesn't want to seem to engage unless I use extreme force to put the battery in place. I wonder how long that part of this panel will last with this much force being applied to it every time I need to power this thing without using the included (too short!) power cable.
Besides the horrible ball mount and faulty v-mount plate issues, this is a great option for budget filmmaking.
