A fun smarthome toy that's actually useful
I replaced a recessed can light in my kitchen with this. It projects the light strait down as it should. It is not designed to be used in a lamp, but it's perfect for replacing flood lights in your house. You need a Hue Bridge to use this and obviously a smartphone.
It's fun to change the colors of the light, or use other devices like the Hue Tap switch to control it. Luckily, there are LOTS of apps out there that you can use to control the lightbulb in fun ways.

Great smart bulbs
These are so much fun. There are dozens of apps you can use to interact with the lights. They can be expensive, so look for a good deal on Ebay. These are particularly good if you have a baby. We dim them and turn them red so it's easier on our and the baby's eyes.
