Extremely versatile
1 of 1 found this helpful It took me a while to get the hang of this pedal. The first thing I learned is that it's not made for little digital practice amps. Especially ones with small speakers. You'll want a bigger amp/higher wattage to get the full effect. Makes me wonder what the actual Friedman amp sounds like.
You'll get every kind of overdrive out of this pedal. Those who play higher gain stuff will absolutely love this thing. The knobs are very responsive and it works well with other pedals.
I really like that it has an internal pot to increase or decrease the amount of gain you want. I have guitars with hot pickups so I had to dial it back some.
I find this pedal to be very bright and treble-y. Kicking down the Tight and Presence knobs produces a warmer sound. The Treble knob is actually a Mid/Volume knob, kind of serves another purpose other than treble but it works well for when I play with the neck pickup.
Cuts right through the mix and you can hear every note clearly.
I would recommend this pedal for any rock/metal guitarist. Blues players may want to seek something else.
