Close but no cigar..
1 of 1 found this helpful Seems better than a scart if your reason for purchase is to play your PS2 in better quality on a HDTV, not infinitely better though. And you will have to tweak some things depending on the game, where it be screen size, brightness, sharpness, colour variants etc, which is the same for scart and can get annoying when you can't seem to tweak it to perfection.
The old fat CRT TV's still look better with PS2, as PS2 was built specificly for that technology, that's a whole different conversation though about interlaced and progressive, 240i all that crap, I'll just say this, for the price, this is good, it's about 50 percent better than a scart lead, give or take, depending on your settings, although for the time being I can't see any better option for playing PS2 games, than you'll get with one of the old fat back CRT TVs, everything looks sharper, pixels don't bleed, pixels don't become to sharp and blur in motion, HDTVs are pretty useless when it comes to 20 year old technology...
