It's a wonderful idea in theory. If you have a smaller window it's not as effective and far more complicated to put up, especially if your suction cups have been well folded in amoungst the material so every other one (probably more) don't actually stick to the window without spring a reasonable amount of time to persuade it too. However after all that effort it does keep a reasonable proportion of light out a room.
