Works on non-smooth surfaces as well!
I was initially concerned that I had bought the wrong product, as the product packaging only specifies "for smooth surfaces". But I tried using it to attach rugs to carpet, and it has worked well. I used it to attach 2 rugs - one 2.5mx1.5m, one 1mx0.5m - to regularly walked on carpeted areas. These rugs previously moved every time they were walked on, but since using the tape they haven't at all. After a few weeks with no movement, I can confirm success. Good product, good value.
SAKURA Pigma Micron PN Pen - NEW

Smooth and versatile
I always liked using those Berol handwriting pens in primary school because of how smoothly and consistently they wrote (even after lots of other kids had used them!), and the PN is the same sort of plastic nib, and has all the good qualities of those. I use it more for drawing, and it has a good versatility for line width and control for fine detail. The plastic nib is clearly more durable than Sakura's other (fibre-tip) fineliners. A joy to use.

Great quality, easy on the eyes
I've enjoyed using this book both for rough sketches and finished pieces. The paper is great quality, very consistent, and thick enough to use most water based media on both sides of the page. Very enjoyable to work on using pencil, coloured pencil, fineliner, acrylic, watercolour and water based felt tip, and the colour/tone of the paper is light enough to contrast with usual dark toned drawing media, but has the added benefit of providing a darker base for white media, ie acrylic or gel pen. Personally I find the paper tone and hue much more inviting to work on than white or cream. Having sampled this sketchbook once, and the cold tone grey version, which some might prefer (it's the same tone, but cool hue), I wouldn't go back to white or cream paper. Worth a try for any traditional artist.
