Excellent car stereo
4 of 5 found this helpful So far this unit is performing well. Occasionally you may need to wait as it may seem to not respond, but, like any Android device resource use can be high. For installation, the provided harness won't work for many vehicles. I installed this unit in a Hyundai Sonata 2007. I had to purchase a female ISO harness, plus the vehicle specific harness. Next, the yellow and red cables had to be interchanged in order to get the unit's memory to work (keep the time/date, radio stations, etc.). The orange wire, which connects to vehicle's dimmer/lights had to be wired directly to the orange cable from radio as the harness doesn't include this wire. Overall it's working great, GPS response is fast and accurate, sound volume and quality are very good. Reverse camera works well.
If you want to get good quality sound from your GPS application you may need to tweak some settings. For example, I set GPS sound options to mix (default is switch), then set volume to 10. This makes the GPS application have more volume than the radio or any other sound application you may have enabled while using GPS. Without these changes GPS sound may be too low for navigation (especially true for TomTom GO).
Only minor issue is that AM doesn't pickup any signals where I live. FM reception is great.
