Best 3D Sonic Game

Sonic Generations is undoubtedly the best 3d Sonic game and it is amazing that you can find it for such cheap prices. The graphics and lighting look spectacular for a 360 game and haven’t aged a bit over the last 10 years. Of course, there are two Sonic’s with different types of gameplay to keep you engaged. Boost/Modern Sonic is the best he’s ever been and Classic Sonic brings back the gameplay you remember from the classics. Speaking of the classics, the choices for the levels that were brought back are amazing, my favourite of them being Seaside Hill from Sonic Heroes. All of the level designs are top tier and never get boring. The levels are dense with many different pathways that take different levels of skill to reach, this is an amazing feature which adds so much replayability to the game. A couple of classic bosses were brought back as well and were great to see but I won’t spoil those. In between the levels there are challenges for each stage, you need to complete a few to progress. These challenge levels are extremely fun and bring a lot of variety to the game. There are even challenges where you get to use some of Sonic’s friends that you unlocked through the levels to aid Sonic through the challenge. Speaking of Sonic’s friends, some of them make an appearance as rivals that you have to beat to get a chaos emerald. These appear as mini bosses and are extremely fun. There are seven chaos emeralds to collect and you can get them from defeating rivals and bosses, they are required for the game’s final boss and you can use them in levels afterwards to transform into Super Sonic. Throughout the levels there are five hidden red rings, which unlock things like concept art and music. There is also a skill shop where you can use points earned by completing levels or challenges to buy skills for Sonic. There’s even a Sega Megadrive hidden in the hub world where you can play the original Sonic the Hedgehog game. A quick rundown of the game story is that Sonic’s friends were captured by a mysterious monster called the Time Eater. This monster is draining all of the past games events of their life and Sonic must go through the levels to restore them. While doing this, Sonic meets up with a past version of himself. Both Modern and Classic Sonic team up to defeat the Time Eater and restore the levels. If you haven’t played this game, you should, it is an amazing game for people of all skill levels.
