Very poor fitting instructions, likewise regarding separation of fan cases. Issue over 4 mm hardened glass window, Not fit for purpose
Very poor fitting instructions on how to split the front of fan case form the motor section, for fitting or maintenance purposes. Safety issue not mentioned in relation to fitting to 4 mm glass window, this glass should be made of hardened glass for safety purposes.
Had to phone the manufacturer on what instructions and procedures to be followed to split front of fan case from motor section. Took half an hour to achieve this and with difficulty. Manufacturer not aware of 4 mm hardened glass safety requirements, for fitting to glass window. Procedures for separating case dependent on using a screwdriver, risking breaking of fan case!
The catch system used to secure the front case from the motor section does not work properly, once the fan had been fitted the front case could not be separated without breaking it or breaking the glass window.
