The real story of American Independance-July 1863
1 of 1 found this helpful You've probably heard about the Battle of Gettysburg. You may have even studied it in school, but until you see this movie, you don't know the real story. I visited Gettysburg National Military Battlefield in 2007 and came to understand the place, and a little about the battles. Our guide recommended that we see this movie so we could understand the men.
If you don't see this movie, you're doing yourself a great dishonor. Lincoln was right, "we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract." As Americans, its important that we understand why 52,000 men gave their lives during those 3 horrific days in July, 1863. The battle ended on the 4th of July.
Tom Berrenger as James Longstreet, Martin Sheen as Robert E. Lee, Jeff Daniels as Joshua Chamberlain, and Kevin Conway as his faithful First Sergeant give performances that will rip your heart out...and make you know what this war was about.

Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide
This is the book that everyone uses to decide the value of comic books. Without it, I couldn't even figure out which version of a comic book I had, let alone the value.
Now I can find the title, artist, writer, date, version and value of my comics based on the grade of the comic. Other books leave out the grade which is a huge mistake. Overstreet shows you what your comic is worth if it's average, or if you were one of those wise young souls who kept everything neatly stored away, how valuable your old comic is in near mint condition. The difference can be hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
No matter what you have to spend to buy an Overstreet guide, its worth it.
