Acoustic Solutions Speakers
1 of 1 found this helpful Sound quality is excellent with good seperation and focussing of the music.
Individual instruments are well detailed and are placed on a projected soundstage.
My main interest is classical music although I also have classic rock albums {Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues Eurythmics etc} so I am open to most types. I also like Electronic Music, I am playing Tangerine Dream's Phaedra as I write this and the music swirls and pulses around beautifully. Another album that comes across excellently is William Orbit's My Oracle Lives Uptown this double album is an absolutely fantastic example of this type of music I recomend it to anyone wo likes this genre.
My Mahler records love the speakers his 2nd symphony especially part 5 second part, langsam misterioso is just that - and gorgeous - the singers swell along with the orchestra.
The only thing I do not like is the finish. The are a matt wood effect and this does let them down {in my mind] dramatically. I suspect cost is to blame here but it is the classic 'spoiling the ship for a halfpence of tar'. I will have to get to grips with varnish and wax polish to try to make them look as good as they sound.

Small and lightweight, easy to place
I was a bit worried when it turned up but having set it up on my turntable/amplifier it worked extremely well and I am extremely pleased with it. Well worth the money, a good buy.

CDR870 CD Recorder
0 of 1 found this helpful Could have been an excellent buy very easy to use and OK to look at but unfortumately it does not do what it is supposed to do.
It wporked well at first and gave me some good recordings but then it stopped recording part way thru' a disc then would not read any CDRs used on it, I tried many makes but it refused to see them.
Then it stopped playing recorded CDs, just stopped part way thru' and would not restart.
As stated the basic design of the Deck is good and the manual is very good and easy to follow and would have been an excellent buy, if it worked.
I bought it as I wanted CDs for my two cars {same CD in each one's autochanger with the master filed at home}, unfortunately my master plan did not work out - pity. I think I paid around £50 for it which at the time was about average for recorders on EBay, just picked the wrong one!
