Amazing laptop. Too much pre-installed software which can thankfully be uninstalled.
1 of 1 found this helpful This laptop is great. It is by far the best value for money gaming laptop you can find currently. It has a predominantly metal chassis and it feels extremely well put together. You can open the lid with 1 hand - a testament to the build quality. Not all (expensive) laptops can do that.
The CPU is under-volted out of the box which gives it great thermal control. This machine rivals some laptops that reach £2000. Even beats a few of them.
Unless you need a small laptop I do recommend you get the 17.3 inch version - it has slightly better cooling.
A few things to keep it mind though. It comes with 2x4GB RAM modules, so you should really upgrade to 2x8GB as soon as you can. It's worth it. The SSD is only a 256GB one. While it may be enough for some, in this day and age you need something bigger to be fair.
The most negative thing I can say about this laptop is the absolutely ridiculous amount of bloatware that comes pre-installed. 95% of it is completely unnecessary. It just slows down the start up of the machine. Most of it can be uninstalled however.
The on/off button is part of the keyboard, which is a bit unusual and the charging port is more towards the middle of the laptop rather than near the back. Both of these are minor and I did not find them annoying. Which I thought I might.
I did a lot of research before I bought this, as it is a lot of money. I watched all the youtube videos. I read all the reviews and comparisons. And in my opinion this is the laptop to have if you want a mobile gaming station that will not break the bank (too much).

Easy to install and totally worth it
I ordered this as a replacement to my screen as it cracked. The installation is extremely easy and it made my phone look as good as new. This is a much better option than paying £100+ at a repair shop to get it fixed.

Good quality and easy to use!
I bought this because my laptop needed a new battery. I was quite happy with it and I will probably buy a new one in a few years when this one starts holding less charge! Was a good price for it and it was the correct replacement for the laptop I have (HP 550).
