A viable Mac for upgrade & sustainable use for some time yet! Very pleased!
Absolutely delighted with my 'new' Power Mac. Cannot find fault. The listing didn't make it as clear as it might, that there was 2.5gb installed rather than 512mb as I was expecting. Have been running the Mac very happily and efficiently since I got it home, adding an additional HD and 4gb of RAM; it is now my Aperture server, scanning, copying & collating several thousand images from various sources, and doing it very well. This being a Late 2005 PowerMac, it has a Dual Core processor, rather than two processors - a late attempt to supply Apple with sustainable Power PC chips by Motorola - and has 8 banks available for a max. 16gb RAM. It is still supported by Apple, if it needed support. I currently have 6gb installed, and anticipate adding another 4gb at least. Likely to be a viable workstation for me to use for a few more years yet.
