Heating with wood

We burn firewood but the heat wouldn't make it to the basement. I have more than enough cold air returns in my house so I hooked an 8 inch duct and fan into it. This fan has about the same noise level as a bathroom fan and moves enough air to warm my 1800 square foot basement. The only thing I would change is there is only 1 degree difference between on and off. If you set it at 67 it comes on at 67 and shuts off at 68. In my opinion, if I set it to 67 I would like to see it come on at 65 and go off at 69. All in all great unit and have recommended it to several people already.
