Unable to turn off connection to iPhone so that iPhone is connectable to other devices. It’s are not applicable.

Very disappointed in that I connected it to my iPhone and now my iPhone is not usable in my car. Can’t figure out how I can take the blue tooth off when I’m not using them. As usual, no directions as how to do this. Companies do not think through their Manuel’s instruction.
