Lightweight and well constructed
Precision-crafted. Easy to use. Use it when transporting you bicycle on a car rack. The steel tube is strong, hollow and lightweight. The hooks at each end are a solid heavy-duty molded plastic that are very sturdy.
Bikes are not just 'boys' and 'girls' bikes anymore. Many bicycles have a modified frame that moves the cross-tube (upper) down too far to make mounting the bike on a rack easy.
This bar takes the place of the cross (upper) tube by hooking under the handlebar neck and the seat pillar. This gives a great location to use to mount your bike on the rack.
I bought one for my wifes bike, which is a traditional 'girls' bike (without the upper cross tube), and it made such a difference in allowing me to hang the bike on the rack. I bought another one for my mountain bike which needed a taller cross tube for transport.
