A truely excellent rangefinder with an exceptional Hexanon-M 50/1.2 lens. The callibration of the body and lens gives perfect pefect focus even at f/1.2. The result is that the lens can be used on any Leica M body without concern as well as Leica lenses being perfectly compatable on the Hexar RF body. Functionally, the camera is easy to use and my only minor gripe is with the resolution of meter sensitivity in the manual meter mode, i.e. it's hard to determine the exact aperture setting. That's because it take about +/- a 1/2 stop change of the aperture before a change occurs in the shutter speed LED display. This is not unique to the Hexar as the same problem arises in the Cosina/Zeiss ZM camera. The only real downside to the camera body is that the company is out of the photo business and as such, repair is quite problematic as no parts are available. Fortunately, unless the lens is physically damaged, repair should not be an isssue in this case.
