Description not accurate and lacking detail

The volume has suffered for some reason and has to be turned up to maximum to hear anything. When it arrived I noticed the volume control was turned to very high and reduced it before trying it with the turntable and speakers. I soon understood why this was.
Looking for another amplifier.
