Simple device, longer cable for the win.
Works exactly as expected and the main differentiator for this product for me was the longer cable which allows the display to reach all the way to the drivers seat when connected.

    Smooth running chainsaw
I wouldn't say it's the saw for felling old oaks but it's smooth running and surprisingly quick at cutting through 8 to 12" diameter rounds for firewood. My 4Ah batteries last reasonably but more Ah = more better and the ability to charge 2 batteries is needed if you're really processing wood. I can saw until the batteries switch off then split while they charge. It's also good for working up in branches with no pull starting at height just a button to enable the drive. The oil tank is easy to fill and doesn't leak, the chain tension is easy to adjust and it's a comfortable saw to use. The only thing I don't like is the sticker on the side looks cheap for such a nice machine, I like the moulded Makita logo that's on many of the 18V LXT tools. Overall, a quality machine that's at a good price point in the market and uses the standard 18V LXT Makita batteries very effectively.
